Abstract

This study examines performance through structural empowerment, participative leadership and the interaction between structural empowerment and participative leadership. The study was carried out at the two of Islamic High School in Jombang and Nganjuk and took 139 samples employee. The data were analyzed by simple, multiple and moderate regression analysis. Researchers develop scales to measure employee performance, structural empowerment, and participative leadership. The results of the study showed that structural empowerment had a positive effect on contextual and adaptive performance, but had no effect on task performance. Participative leadership has a positive effect on task, contextual, and adaptive performance. Interaction of structural empowerment ─ participative leadership has no effect on task, contextual and adaptive performance. Research findings will be discussed in the context of human resource management.
