Strategy of Increasing Agrotourism Competitiveness of Flower Garden In Banjarsari Village, Jombang Regency

Agro-tourism is a series of rural tourism activities that utilize agricultural potential as a tourist attraction, efforts to develop rural agro-tourism that utilize agricultural potential, and involve rural communities, can function as community empowerment in harmony with tourism-based community empowerment (community based tourism). As with one of the agrotourism in Jombang Regency, known as the flower garden (East Java agro garden) which is located in Bandarkedungmulyo District. This park is a new tourist spot which opened on September 24, 2017 and was inaugurated by East Java Governor Soekarwo on October 23, 2017. From the brief description above related to the strategy of increasing agro-tourism competitiveness in one of Jombang Districts, the researcher conducts an in-depth study with the formulation of problems about: 1) Why is the tourist interest decreasing, while management is still going well? the strategy to increase competitiveness in the development of agrotourism?
In searching for concrete answers to these problems, qualitative research methods are used with phenomenological approaches. In addition, in-depth interviews were also conducted with respondents who were believed to be able and aware of the problems being studied.
What causes the problem of decreasing interest of tourists to visit is many factors, one of which is the lack of innovation and good care in managing agro tourism, so the strategy that must be done is to maintain environmental conditions to be maintained and preserved, while providing innovations so that tourist attractions remain.
