Character Education Strategy For Children
Case Study at Madrasah Aliyah Maarif Tulungagung, East Java, Indonesia
Abstract
The essence of character education in the context of education in Indonesia is value education, namely the education of noble values originating from the culture of the Indonesian nation itself, in order to foster the personality of the younger generation. Character education has found its momentum again recently; even become one of the priority programs of the Ministry of National Education. Even though in the last few years, there have been many good discussions through conferences, seminars and other public talks, there have not been many concrete breakthroughs in advancing character education. With state policies, it is time for character education to be implemented concretely through educational institutions and the wider community. The research questions include: What is the character education strategy at Madrasah Aliyah Maarif Tulungagung, East Java Indonesia?, What are the characteristics of character education at Madrasah Aliyah Maarif Tulungagung, East Java Indonesia? And what is the urgency of character education at Madrasah Aliyah Maarif Tulungagung, East Java, Indonesia?
